A harmonized post-mortem neurodegeneration brain and spinal cord transcriptome compendium (ALS, FTD spectrum, Alzheimer's disease and others)

A harmonized post-mortem neurodegeneration brain and spinal cord transcriptome compendium (ALS, FTD spectrum, Alzheimer's disease and others). Built on 2026-10-20 from open GEO and ArrayExpress data with the same pipeline as the cross-disease blood interferon resource (Zenodo record 23427859): per-series gene tables and QC, combined matrices before and after ComBat by compartment, one sample annotation table with per-sample module scores, and batch diagnostics. Version 1.1 is a data resource only: case-control and interferon result files were removed so it does not overlap the companion research article. 1847 samples passed QC from 4 source accessions (E-MTAB-2325, E-MTAB-8635, GSE153960, GSE26927). All exclusions and method deviations are listed in EXCLUSIONS_AND_DEVIATIONS.md.

Normative transcriptomic clues to thalamic developmental vulnerability in C9orf72-FTLD

C9orf72 encodes a protein that is important for both typical neurodevelopment and homeostatic processes across the lifespan. Pathogenic C9orf72 repeat expansions constitute the most common genetic cause of frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD). Collectively, preclinical models and clinical neuroi...
